Dear Members,
We take this opportunity to thank you all for participating in the Bunkers Club events during 2009 -2010, and for helping the Club by way of Sponsorships, assistance (physical and financial) and continued support for all these years.
The 2009 - 2010, term comes to an end with the Annual Baisakhi Tournament, wherein the Committee hands over charge to the elected incumbents for the year 2010-2011.

The Baisakhi Tournament was held at the Jagorawi Golf and Country Club. Warm summer afternoon had its toll on the players. None the less, everyone enjoyed the challenge.
The 2009 Club Championship finalists Raju Vijaywargiya and Ravi Sreedharan battled it out during the Baisakhi event. Ravi put up a valiant effort before succumbing on the 16th hole, after driving his second shot onto hazard which proved fatal. Raju is always on the prowl and will tame his kill at the slightest sign of weakness. Initially Ravi did match a Birdie with a Birdie, a Par with a Par, but three birdies in a row by Raju would make any opponent swoon.

Raju Vijaywargiya has successfully defended his Club Champion title for the year 2009 – 2010. He shot a Gross of 73. HC-2. Congratulations !!

Dear Members,

Welcome to the new Sports Season !! The New year brings a lot of excitement to Sports enthusiasts, with the PGA Tour, Asian Tour, Tennis Grand Slams, ATP Masters, EPL, IPL and (of course) Bunkers Annual Calendar of events.

Bunkers Golf Club has seen a meteoric rise over the past few years. The Committee's of the past few years deserve the accolades and our every appreciation. The continued support and enthusiasm of the Members and Sponsors has afforded the club the necessary leverage to spread its wings and ascend to its present standing. The primary goal has been to achieve higher participation and higher standards in golf amongst its Members.

Couple the Golf with a few social events involving Golfers families, augurs well to bind us all together as a well knit Ethnic golfing fraternity in Jakarta.

In keeping with Bunkers' antecedents and tradition, a new guard has been elected and the nucleus of the new Committee is as under:

Advisory Body - Comprises of a panel of 3 Senior Golfing Members of the

Club to advise the new Committee on Golfing and Administrative matters of the Club.

The Annual Fee for the year 2008-09, has been set at IDR 850,000 for renewal of existing Memberships. However as per Club practice there is a one time administrative charge levied on new entrants to the Club, which has therefore been set at IDR 1,000,000.

Dear friends,

It has been quite sometime since any one of us wrote about the tournaments, committee and the club in general. Hence I thought of putting down a few lines.

Firstly, a big Thank you to the previous committee for a good job done during the last year.

Dear Golfers,

"The world is divided into two categories of men, the unfortunate ones and the Golfers" India Shining ! Yes we did see the glimmer! The Young Turk, Shiv Kapur fought back to wrangle the 2nd place in the Indonesian Open.

Dear Members,

After hosting the annual Diwali tournament we are now ready to host the annual Diwali Dinner with spouses which is this year scheduled at Jypore restaurant at Rasuna Said on November 25, 2006.

The Committee is glad to inform you that we are over booked (150 instead of 144) and we have stopped at that as we are not allowed more than that by BSD.

Bunkers Club wishes Eid Mubarak to members and happy holidays. Also do remmember to get your Diwali Invitational Card as we need to book all 144 slots. We are struggling with sale of cards as well as Individual Holes (3 jt each) and pl support the event by helping out.

The Bunkers committee welcomes all the new members and thanks all the continuing members for their active involvement in the club. The first monthly medal event for the year 2006-2007 was held at Mentari ( previously famously called as Satelindo), Sentul Selatan on the 26th of May. Many of our members could not attend because of the four day weekend preceding the event. None the less there were the die hard golfers who managed to make it for the game....

Dear Members,

Welcome back to "Bunkers Golf" Season for 2006-07.
The glowing tributes heaped on the committee for the recently concluded 2005/06 season, should have been the Swan song of the last committee.

However, despite trying to institute change, we find ourselves at the helm of affairs for you, for yet another Season....

What a day we all had at the Matoa Golf course!!! It was hot but enjoyable game, the course was fantastic, the preparation and organisation of the event by the committee was even better. We had a good attendance and lot of friends played below their handicaps.

Congratulations to Raju for winning the club championship and also to Amit to give him a good fight till the 17th hole. Well done to all the winners of the Baisakhi tournament. Whilst we thank the committee for their splendid work during the last term, we also thank them for accepting to continue doing the good work during the next term. We also welcome Raman Tata and Ravi Sreedharan into the committee. We are sure this will bring in newer ideas and will take Bunkers Golf to a higher platform.

Let us all support their good work by turning up in larger numbers during all tournaments and activities organised by the club. It feels good when the turn out is good and let us not forget to confirm our participation or regret well in advance. It helps the committee in better preparation.
