Farewell Golf Tournament Cenkareng

Dear Members,

The Inaugural Bunkers Golf Tournament, which was also a Farewell to our members who are relocating was held at Cenkareng Golf Club.

It was a Funtastic event, under perfect golfing weather conditions with 44 participants. Raju Vijayawargiya and Ravi Sreedharan who are moving out of Indonesia to Singapore and Cairo respectively, expressed their desire to be Life Members of Bunkers Golf Club. Bunkers Club would miss them as much as they would miss Bunkers and Jakarta.The others who have already left or are about to leave Indonesia are Anuraag Saigal, Sanjiv Malhotra, Ajit Raikar, Jaideep Singh and Atul Patel. We wish them success and prosperity in personal, professional and golfing fronts, for all times to come.

We deeply appreciate the positive response from our members and look forward to similar participation in all future events.

We take this opportunity to thank you all for participating in the Bunkers Club events during 2009 -2010, and for helping the Club by way of Sponsorships, assistance (physical and financial) and continued support for all these years.
The 2009 - 2010, term comes to an end with the Annual Baisakhi Tournament, wherein the Committee hands over charge to the elected incumbents for the year 2010-2011.

The Baisakhi Tournament was held at the Jagorawi Golf and Country Club. Warm summer afternoon had its toll on the players. None the less, everyone enjoyed the challenge.
The 2009 Club Championship finalists Raju Vijaywargiya and Ravi Sreedharan battled it out during the Baisakhi event. Ravi put up a valiant effort before succumbing on the 16th hole, after driving his second shot onto hazard which proved fatal. Raju is always on the prowl and will tame his kill at the slightest sign of weakness. Initially Ravi did match a Birdie with a Birdie, a Par with a Par, but three birdies in a row by Raju would make any opponent swoon.

Raju Vijaywargiya has successfully defended his Club Champion title for the year 2009 – 2010. He shot a Gross of 73. HC-2. Congratulations !!

Sunny and I played at Emeralda. I hit 87 and Sunny hit 93 but after 18 holes we were all square. We went on to play one more hole (sudden death!) and I lost the hole to Sunny.

A hot day at Gunung Guelis today. With all my sweat and toil I could get only a couple of holes from Raju besides squaring a few. With Raju totally in control of the game we ended with him leading by 6 with 5 to go. A pleasure to watch and get some tips on the way.

I had my matchplay with Vikas Gupta finally last saturday Sedana Golf which i won on the 17th hole. As usual we had a good time and for a change we both had a good game too !! Hard luck Vikas but wish me luck now as my next round is with the Champ himself Pavan Sahni !

played my matchplay today with Harbinder Binde today at emeralda... Binde won 2 and 1... the game was decided by a commendable birdie by bindeji on the 16th hole...
bindeji goodluck to you for your game with onkar ( ? ) or probably with Raju as onkar seems to be out of station for quite sime time...

The Republic Day Tournament shall be at the Sentul Highlands Golf Club (earlier known as Satelindo, exit Sentul Selatan).

The Tee off time is 11.00 am.

Members to only pay for the Green Fee IDR 575,000/- and for Bank Mandiri Card holders it is IDR 475,000/-

Club Championship matches could be played as well. So, invite your respective opponents to play.
