Handicap Index
Members Handicap will be maintained by the Score Keeper Software and will be based on USGA system. They will be updated once a month. It is important to note that Handicaps are being monitored closely and are available to all members to review and comment. For new members, the Handicap will be awarded based on reference from another club or should be ratified by our 2 members. A new member may not be awarded a trophy in their 1st ever Bunker tournament for “Best Net prizes”.
Champion’s category A (handicap up to 18) and Challengers B (19 to 28max).
Each category will have Best Net 1st and 2nd besides Best Net Overall. Committee may decide to have Nearest to pin, Longest Drive, BN 3rd , Best GROSS etc whenever possible. A Member will be awarded only one prize in any tournament, as has been the practice over the years.
Stroke Play Ties will be decided by matching the scores for last 9 holes. If the players have the same score, then compare the last 6, then last 3 and finally 18th. In above method the handicaps will be deducted ½, 1/3, 1/6, 1/18. Fraction of 0.5 and above will convert to 1 stroke (up to 0.49 will not).
Bunker Majors (Stroke play - Independence and Baisakhi)
Bunkers 4th Diwali Invitational Tournament (stroke play - Shotgun event with course closed)
Bunker Medal Tournament (stroke play – 3 to 4 events)
Novelty events : Texas Scramble (team event), Stableford Event (stroke play), 4 club only event, day night golf game - committee will try to arrange these if the schedule permits.
