Sunny & I finally got down to playing our game on the 15th at Pondok Indah golf course (his home course) as no one wants to play at Jagorawi. Aplogies to Bedi and the team for the delay in our match. The newly done up Pondok Indah golf course plays much easier now & is really well mantained. Sunny started off in style taking full home course advantage and his scoring on the first six holes was Bogi , Par , Par , Bogi, Bogi, Bogi .He had me sweating despite the crisp early morning air. With me giving him 9 strokes , my early exit seemed only a matter of time . He finally faltered on the 7th hole & somehow did not recover after that . The match was over on the 12th hole . Just to ensure we were competitive for the full round, we decided to have a small bet on the remaining 6 holes & sure enough , I was again at the back foot struggling to half holes so save money . I was lucky to get off with my wallet intact. Sunny it was a pleasure to play with you and I enjoyed the company .
Ram and I got down to playing our matchplay at Emeralda today.
The Practice Wala- PAVAN.S Pavan came along to play a practice round and more that concentrate on our game (I don't know about Ram, but) I was amazed at the consistency of Pavan's Iron play. On one hole Pavan even tried to help me win the match by knocking out Ram with a flier from the rough, but the smart fellow that Ram is, he ducked and I was gently patted on the back by the fyling ball. Being unhurt and smiling, I felt for Pavan who in actually trying to help me was feeling so bad that I got hit instead. Aplogies accepted I took that as a sign to surge ahead and went on with my game.
The Players (1) RAM After having met Ram a copule of times before, this was the first time I was playing with him and that too a match. Having kept Pavan a secret from me till I reached the couse, he gave me the shivers with his immaculate chipping on the driving range. I was already thinking, "yeh match to gayi, thik hai, woh kya kahte hai, having fun ke liye khelenge....aise soch liya maine. Waise bhi saale ko, 9 strokes mil rahe the....
The Player (2)SUBASH What can I say about myself, Yeh to aap log hi batainge. All that I can say is that it was in my favor that I walked and he was on a cart
The Game Abeh detail me bataun kya?? Pehla hole maini hi jit liya or uske baad usko chance hi nahi mila. Bechara Pitching aur chipping ko range pe hi chod aya, aur kya kahun, game khatam.
The Score Chodo yaar, jit liya na, Itna his bas hai. (9 STROKES DENE PADE YAAAR!!!!!!)
Thanks Ram and Pavan for the funtastic camraderie, It has been some time since I enjoyed playing Golf as much as I did today.
All the best Pavan and Sunny, awaiting your results.

Played match with Rajeev Arora, what a guy, the spirit prevailed over the game. Thanks Rajeev for being such a good soul, and for bringing Rajan Kapoor to have a private match with Bob.
We finished with excellent climate, no sun no rain, thanks to Rajeev, he gave me the match 5, 3.

Guys I played my match with Krishna Tiwari at cenkareng golf course last friday morning. We were lucky to have a pleasant weather for most of the day but I was really made to work very hard and was 3 down after just 6 holes due to some pathetic putting by yours truly ! somehow hung in and won 3 & 2 ! Special thanks to Subhash Advani who inspite of being unwell was there for the full duration of our matchplay. Thanks buddy ! cheers from cheenu
Club Championship between Bedi and Rajeev Arora, Rakesh and Ram on the 17th Feb 2011, Thursday.
The weather at Cengkareng Golf course was just perfect. Me, Ram, Bedi and Rajeev Arora played our first round of Club Championship. Rajeev Arora was in best of his form and Bedi did not play to his level. Bedi missed on a few close putts. Bedi was 5 down after the 13th hole. Basically had to win all the 5 remaining holes to even. Bedi tried his best and managed to win the 14th, 15th and 16th hole. Reduced the difference to 2 down and 2 holes to go. But Rajeev hit a great green shot on Par 3 , 17th hole thereby sealing a well deserved win over Bedi. All the best to Rajeev for his next round. Hard Luck Bedi, Not your day.
My game with Ram saw several ups and down in the score. For the first few holes I was up and for the next few holes Ram was up. Ram did not play to his usual game and after the 17th Hole , I was 2 up. Which decided the game in my favour. Personally, it was a great pleasure to play with Ram.
Follow Jay Busbee on Twitter at @jaybusbee. You can use a golf club for all kinds of non-golfy purposes -- walking stick, fishing rod, club, to name three. And now we can add to that list -- firestarter. Over the weekend, a golfer's routine swing in the rough at the Shady Canyon Golf Course in Irvine, Calif., struck a rock. Not so different from the way you play, right? Only this time, the impact caused a spark, and the spark set off a blaze that eventually covered 25 acres, according to the Steven Buck, General Manager of Shady Canyon Golf Course, and required the efforts of 150 Orange County firefighters, writes the Associated Press. Wow. And I felt bad the time I shanked a ball through the window of a house too close to the fairway. That was nothing compared to this! The golfer's name is being withheld, which is probably for the best, and no charges are going to be filed. Fortunately, it all could have been much worse. As it was, the blaze required both helicopters and on-the-ground crews. The conditions were ripe for a blaze, with dry brush from a recent heat wave just waiting for the right spark. Like, say, one caused by metal on rock. And now, your turn. This is going to inspire a raft of bad Sportscenter-esque "When we say he set the course on fire, he really set the course on fire!" jokes. So let's get ahead of the curve. Best bad golf-and-fire-related pun in the comments wins a round of applause. Go! Photo credit: Thanks to Zach Bates
Wishing Raju and Ravi and all the other members leaving this year all the best in thier ventures and hope to play with them again someday soon either at Bunkers in Jakarta or in their respective countries. Keep in touch!! Subash Adwani
