Dear Members,
We are now back after rectifying the technical snags on the Bunkers’ Web mailing system.
The last tournament at Permata Sentul on a bright sunny afternoon was thoroughly enjoyed by all the participants. The Golf course was in good shape and the game was on Cruise Controls. A beautiful Golf venue with “no waiting” was a pleasure.
The winners were all neck to neck and the decision was on the Count Back.

BUNKERSGOLF COMMITTEE
Dear Members,
Welcome to the new Sports Season !! The New year brings a lot of excitement to Sports enthusiasts, with the PGA Tour, Asian Tour, Tennis Grand Slams, ATP Masters, EPL, IPL and (of course) Bunkers Annual Calendar of events.
Bunkers Golf Club has seen a meteoric rise over the past few years. The Committee's of the past few years deserve the accolades and our every appreciation. The continued support and enthusiasm of the Members and Sponsors has afforded the club the necessary leverage to spread its wings and ascend to its present standing. The primary goal has been to achieve higher participation and higher standards in golf amongst its Members.
Couple the Golf with a few social events involving Golfers families, augurs well to bind us all together as a well knit Ethnic golfing fraternity in Jakarta.
In keeping with Bunkers' antecedents and tradition, a new guard has been elected and the nucleus of the new Committee is as under:
President - Onkar Singh Bagga
Captain - Raman Tata
Secretary - Pradeep Sainani
Treasurer - Manmohan Johal
Advisory Body - Comprises of a panel of 3 Senior Golfing Members of the
Club to advise the new Committee on Golfing and Administrative matters of the Club.

BUNKERSGOLF COMMITTEE
Congrats to raju once again on winning the club championship held in Cengkareng golf club. I had played my quarter finals on thursday with lalit mathai and semi finals on saturday with Ram in jagorawi but couldnt keep up the winning momentum.
Tough fight in the first 9 holes as i was only one hole down despite myself missing a few crucial putts.Back nine raju played a scintillating round of 35 and it was all over in the 14th hole.
Kudos to the champion.
We played at Jagorawi a little while ago & from the start it was obvious that Raju was in great form . I had a stroke on the first hole , which I played on regulation with a par , but Raju did a Birdie to half it !! Neither of us played our game ( obviously I let the pressure build on me ) , but on the 16th Hole Raju was 1 up and he won the 17th & sealed victory . As always it was a pleasure to play with Raju & it was great watching the Master at play . All the best to you for the finals Raju .
We are at the tail end of the current Bunkers season 2007 -2008 (Title Sponsor Endress & Hauser) and will culminate with the club championship finals which will be held along with the BAISAKHI MAJOR on 13th April at Cengkareng Club.
Baisakhi is one of our 3 Majors based on stroke play and will be heavily subsidized by the club. It has been possible due to gracious sponsors who have supported us through out the season which has allowed us to host and enjoy 8 Golf tournaments and 2 glorious dinner events already:

A QUICK CLARIFICATION LOOKING AT THE "DRAW AND RESULTS" PAGE "AM I IN THE FOURTH ROUND OR SEMI FINALS", SINCE THE FOURTH ROUND WILL HAVE ONLY FOUR PLAYERS, WHICH MEANS IT IS THE SEMI FINALS BUT THE CHART SHOWS ANOTHER SEMIFINALS AND THEN THE FINALS.
MAYBE I HAVE GOT IT WRONG, IF SO SOMEBODY PLEASE CLARIFY.
Plying Match Play today, following 2 confusions arose:
1) If ball falls into lateral water hazard, dropping ball with a penalty, haw far from the Hazard Line marked by Red Stacks:
Rule 27-1-C clearly states Within 2 clubs length....
1 Club is only when you take Relief without a Penalty (Free drop), e.g. Golf Buggy Path.
2)If a Ball is lost in flower bed, going over the water hazard, clearly marked by Red Stacks until the end of flower bed, is it LOST BALL requiring player to replay the shot from original place.... ?
Its Lateral Hazard marked by Red Stacks, therefore if ball not found, its not a LOST BALL, player can add 1 strike Penalty and drop the ball within 2 clubs length at the Point of Entry into the Hazard....
Most know it, just a refresher for those who are unsure....
Any comments on, if Ball Rolls beyond 2 Clubs Length, if dropped within 2 clubs length?
Pradeep
My apologies to Anil Raina for misspelling his name in the Tile of Match Play Result, it should read Anil Raina.
Pradeep.
